Let's hit the sea

Aquatic fun

With its 40 kilometres of coastline, there's always a good excuse to enjoy the sea on the Côte du Midi! Water sports enthusiasts can make the most of the wind and waves and head out to the sea, the lagoons and the fine sandy beaches!

Kiteboarding, windsurfing, sand yachting, catamaraning, kayaking or plain simple boating, from beach to beach and harbour to harbour, there's something for everyone.

Where wind and waves reign

Here, kiteboarding and windsurfing reign supreme!

Kiteboarding

As soon as the wind gets up, you are sure to see the sails come out and adorn the sky with their bright colours.

And if you are looking to learn or improve your skills, look no further!! There are plenty of clubs that will welcome you, and in the space of a few hours they will have you out on the water with your head in the clouds!

Winsurfing

A board, a sail and plenty of wind! These are the only three elements you need to start windsurfing.

Freedom, agility, speed

Far from being monotonous, there are all sorts of ways to enjoy this sport: riding peacefully along the beaches, going freestyle and doing figures, trying to beat speed records or airborne surfing with a foil.

My favourite spot for beginners: directly in the sea in our space reserved for schools! You'll feel safe and you can quickly learn to have fun!

Learn to sail!

Beginners can learn to tame the wind with sails that are more "comfortable".

Catamaransfunboats or optimists are all boats that will allow you to learn the basics. Whether for practising, or learning via a course or a few hours' instruction, Narbonne-Plage, Fleury, Port-la-Nautique and Port-la Nouvelle are all great places for plain sailing!

Grab your paddles !

Stand-up-paddle, kayak, canoe

Stand-up paddle

Stable and easy, standup paddling is ideal for exploring out-of-the-way places.

Strolling along or picking up speed

Bear in mind that "SUP" does not have to be limited to nice gentle paddling! Do you feel comfortable?

A few waves, a slightly smaller board or even a race, and it's a whole new game!

How about giving the giant paddles a try? Up to 8 people can climb aboard: fun and falls guaranteed!

You can also explore the Côte du Midi coastline by sea kayak or canoe.

Why not take a picnic or an aperitif along?

Motorised, towed, onboarded!

JET-SKI - WAKEBOARD - TOWED BUOY

Do you like thrills and spills?

In Saint-Pierre-la-Mer, you will find one of the region's first water ski lifts! Try the wakeboard!

Our coastline is also ideal for jet-skiing, with the Côte du Midi landscapes offering a superb backdrop: massif of La Clape, large expanses of fine sand, dunes, cliffs... slow down for a moment and admire the view!

Come and try the towed buoys with your family and friends! Hold on!

The sand yacht

The sand yacht is the perfect nautical activity for those who don't want to get wet! Go for a sail at Narbonne-Plage, but this time on firm sand!

It's more a question of steering than navigating, and anyone can do it.

Ready?

I'm in!

Pleasure boats

Whether you're travelling or out sailing for the day, you will easily find your port.

Take it easy and explore the land's waterways, or cast off and take to the sea: the choice is yours!
