Go on an adventure along the

Coteaux de Narbonne Wine Route

This wine trail honours the PGI Coteaux de Narbonne whose vineyards extend from the city of Narbonne to the neighbouring villages to the east.
From Narbonne, a selection of red, rosé and white wines with a selection of four addresses. Winegrowers proud of their appellation with an emblematic name honouring the city of Narbonne. It takes half a day to complete the route, culminating with visits to monuments with a connection to the history of wine: the Roman horreum, Narbo Via, the Archbishop's Palace and Saint Just Cathedral. There are also good places to buy some goodies to take back home.

The PGI Coteaux de Narbonne

Coteaux de Narbonne

The Coteaux de Narbonne appellation was recognised in January 1982. A vineyard extending around the city of Narbonne to the east. The vineyard plots are found only in five communes: Narbonne and including the seaside vineyard by Narbonne Plage. Then towards the east in the communes of Cuxac-d'Aude, Ouveillan, Moussan and Marcorignan.
A terroir with a 100% Mediterranean climate with dry, hot summers and mild winters. The vineyard is located in the plains and garrigues but also on the coastline with a vineyard overlooking the sea.
The grape varieties are traditional: Merlot, Grenache and Syrah, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Chenin, Mauzac, Marsanne, Ugni Blanc and Viognier.
